Ravello is a small village on top of the hill from where you can enjoy the best view of the Amalfi coast. Thanks to its breathtaking landscape, Ravello inspired many artists. Richard Wagner wrote the famous opera “Parsifal” in Villa Rufolo, which is one of the most beatiful villa in Ravello. Pompeii was, at the time of the eruption a Roman city, it was buried in a few time under 5-7 meters of ash and lava, that's why nowadays it's one of the best preserved archaeological sites in the world. Walking through the ruins you can see, villas, an amphitheatre, gymnasium, frescoes, graffiti, etc.
